Kel - you need to call Dr. Keshishian. There are certain types of drugs that are out there for osteopenia that are bad news for us. I can't remember what they are, unfortunately. Actually, you may not need to call. If you go to his website at www.dssurgery.com, and click on where the newsletters are, I know it was covered in one of them.

You need to kick that cancer's ass once and for all, girl. I'm pulling for you!

Oh my, I didn't know you had cancer.  I'm so sorry.

I think there is an osteopenia yahoo group.  You might ask Gina (Major Mom) about that.  I also know that a lot of us take 100k or 150k of Vit D a day along with the other vites that support bones:
magnesium citrate
strontium

Not sure what else.
