Information about Mickie(Happy Chick)

Thank you Denise for informing all of us of the reason of the reason for Mickie's passing, I know it had to be difficult for you.

We are all so saddened by such an unnecessary death of such a wonderful giving lady.  You are so fortunate to have known her in person, what a blessiing!

Prayers for your loss of a friend and to her family.

You have absolutely NOTHING to feel sorry about Denise...I would have done the same if I was in your position.  I will pray that you find peace as well as you go thru this difficult time.

I was very saddened to hear the news of sweet Mickie - Happy Chick she most definitely was. 

Please know that my prayers and thoughts go out to her friends and family and of course, you!

I'm sorry for your loss. I'm new to the DS life BUT I've read nothing but good things about Mickie. It's obvious that she touched the lives and hearts of many. May her memory live on forever.

Thank you for sharing your love for Mickie with us and for letting us know what happened. It's obvious from your post you cared a great deal about her and always will. I hope in time your pain will lessen and only warm memories of Mickie will bring a smile to your face.

Thanks Denise, it does help to know what happened. Like everyone else, I'm heartbroken too Mickey was always so positive truly one of the bright spots of the boards. I can only imagine how deeply her family and close friends are hurting. They will all be in our thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for sharing her story.  I am so sorry for all she and her loved ones have had to endure!  I am also so sorry for your loss!

If there is a lesson in this it may be to remind us to use extreme caution in choosing to have surgery outside a top-notch hospital, not to mention the importance of choosing a surgeon and staff equipped to handle emergencies.  Had she been in a hospital she might have recovered.

I am heartbroken for you and for Mickey and for all those who knew and loved her. Kirmy's picture made me want to cry my eyes out. I think that it is so easy for me to feel a "sisterhood" with all of you women (and, since Kerry J is one of my all time favorite people in the world, I will include him as an honorary family member) Seeing her sweet face, knowing that she was working toward the same thing I want - a normal and healthy body - it all just leaves me so sad inside.

So, I hope that those of you who were close to her will find comfort. I read her posts here, and was drawn to her because of her cute avatar name. I trust that the love that is spoken here will be felt by her in the heavens. And, I am going to offer a prayer for her husband and daughter. I watched my best friend lose her mother to a routine surgery - and the details were hauntingly familiar to Mickey's passing. I pray they are surrounded by supporting, loving friends and family.

RIP Sweet Mickey.

Reading about this tragedy is incredibly sad and shocking.  I didn't know Mickie well, but when I was a noob on this board, she was one of the first to make it to my friends list, as she took the time to PM me very helpful information and very warm words of encouragement.  It was obvious to me that she was a very kind and caring soul.  My deepest condolences go out to her family and friends.  May she rest in peace, and may the hearts of her loved ones heal.
