Merry Christmas to me!! Insurance Approval for my Panniculectomy!!
What is a panniculectomy?? I should probably go look that up! As my weight comes off I can see that a TT will probably be a necessity in the future...ugh.
Congrats on getting it approved through insurance though! I know any PS is a rarity to be covered. And Especially congrats on being able to get it done before getting married...you will be one sexy bride! Woo hoo!

Thanks!! I was able to get it approved because it was deemed medically necessary. Thanks - I certainly hope I will be a sexy bride!! I am very happy that I can get it done and be all healed up before my wedding...I should even have time to buy a wedding dress after the procedure.
Thanks!! I am really really excited!!
Here is the difference - these are just a couple of websites I found on a very quick search.
Panniculectomy is basically that remove of loose skin/fat of the pannus. Which is basically what hangs down past where a normal tummy would be. Here's a link to explain it (I just did a quick search, the sites that come up seem endless)..
A tummy tuck does the above (I think) and then also tightens the abdominal muscles by pulling them together and sewing them together (thus why it isn't a great idea to have it done pre-kids) and also removing excess skin and pulling the skin tight and sewing you all back up. Here is a link to a Fleur de lis tummy tuck (I just did a quick search, the sites that come up seem endless).
