I'm new..........

Hi all!
So i've been watching this board for quite sometime now, and now have decided to join in as i'm officially started on my way towards being switched.....I'm 4 months into my supervised diet and my weight lose surgeon (Dr. Vanguri) said it's likely i can have my surgery at the end of February.  I'm super excited and can't wait to change my life and start enjoying all the things i'm missing out on now! I was wondering if there was anyone in Maryland who is at the same point as me...i'd love to find some friends to share this with.  Anyway I just wanted to introduce myself....lol i'm Gina by the way! :)

Welcome Gina, you will learn a lot here.  We have the best Vets that are paying it forward that you can find anywhere else.

Welcome!  We have a group for the Mid-Atlantic DSrs called the MADS. We're a social group not a support group run by a hospital or dietitian. Keep an eye on the boards for our next gathering and join us. There are several DSrs in MD so stand by, I'm sure they'll be chiming in.

 Hi Gina, I'm Emily :)  I'm in MD, and almost 7 months postop.  There is another Vanguri patient that is preop that posts here every now and again (although I'm stumbling on her name at the moment...) and there are several DSers in MD- either pre or postop.  I can think of about 11 off the top of my head.  Where in MD are you?  I'm up to meet for coffee or lunch sometime, if you'd like to pick the brain of a postop, or see how we eat, LOL!
