Welcome back!  Yes, we can do this!!!!  It IS scary how quickly and easily things can just slip right back.  I was just thinking about how early out, sweet stuff was SO overly sweet it made me gag, and there was NO way I could fit in anything BUT protein, and every morsel of food was so tasty, because it was just that, a morsel.  Now?  Now it's like it was preop, my tastes are back, I can fit in a ton of food and the cravings and patterns are showing up again.  UGH!  I should have never indulged...

I am the EXACT same!!  It scares me, quite frankly.  I am so scared of spiraling back into the same old patterns and gaining all this weight back.  I know it probably won't happen, but who knows?  So today I fried up some bacon for breakfast and am on board with you.  We can do this!!

I'd love the recipe, maybe it's better than the ones I have :)  I'm TRYING to like SF stuff, I really am, but I'll be honest, it tastes like pure **** to me.  Like, I have to gag it down, artificial, nastiness, fake ****  Makes it not worth making, because then I'm just going to waste it.  I've tried the fluff, the no-carb cheesecake made with Cool Whip, a SF pumpkin cheesecake, and those low carb chocolate balls posted here earlier.  All gross to me.  So, my motto was, screw the SF stuff, just indulge wisely and only on rare occasion in the real deal...  FAIL!

I don't have much of a sweet tooth, so I may not be of any help to you, but panna cotta is a pretty good low carb standby. The cream delivers most of the flavor and there is not supposed to be a lot of sweetness, so there's not a heavy artificial flavor from the splenda.

Have you ever tried it? Here's one recipe.

I'll try it again...  Thanks Jon :)  So far, the only sugar free cheesecake I like is from Cheesecake Factory, but at $8 a slice, it's quite spendy...

I have a (refillable) container of raw almonds and another of beef jerky nuggets near to me.

The almonds are excellent but no way I can eat a zillion of them,
and the jerky is so flavorful I hope it has the same result.

I am having the boredom thing going on.  I think I have eggs coming out my ears.  That's what actually scares me.  I still don't eat large quantities (except bottomless pit days) but making the right choices can be really hard some days...and that's what really scares me about food  boredom.

Next week I'm off to visit family for a long week - that will be a fun exercise in maintaining my new health.  I'm taking all your tips to heart!

Good thinking on the almonds & jerky.  I think I just need to eat more often during the day to stop the nibbles from attacking me...

Good luck on your trip!  You can do it!
