.....I had just gotten a crapload of staples removed from my person, had eaten my first post DS scrambled egg and kept it down, and was getting ready to vacate the Residence Inn of Scranton and head for home after my DS. Hard to believe it's been that long and oh, so much has changed.....WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO Thank you Dr. Peters and thank God for the DS!!!! I am so glad to be alive, off oxygen, free of diabetes and other comorbidities and within ten pounds of my lowest measured adult weight. YES YES YES!!!!!!!

Meh, I'm not all THAT altruistic. Being here helps keep me on the straight and narrow :-). And I've actually been active on OH for EIGHT FREAKING YEARS. Scary thought huh?

Congrats Elizabeth!  Thanks for all your help on the boards.  You are always helping, paying it forward and straightening out those that are terribly confused (read between the lines - being stupid).

Thanks! I'm probably about the only person who trotted (freezing, cursing and whining) across my college campus today to a final exam while at the same time crowing, "LOOK WHAT I CAN DO!!!!!"

YAY!! Doc is a miracle worker, no doubt about it.....and so amazingly humble and unwilling to accept any such accolade, which makes him all the more deserving. I'm so glad you were able to connect with him, even though you nearly froze to death in the process :-p.

We should orchestrate some kind of project to send him a big bundle of love. Got any ideas?

I have to admit that my time spent in Scranton was the coldest I have ever been!

I think that's a great idea about sending him something. I wish I was more of the crafty/artsy type. I wish I could knit or crochet. I think handmade scarves are so nice. I regret growing up such a tomboy and not being interested in the home-ec classes...LOL
