If your doctor was the one using the terminology of a biliopancreatic limb length of 50 - 75, run in the other direction and find a different doctor.
If, however, it is you using that terminology and you have confused the common channel with the biliopancreatic limb then that's a different matter and you are on your way to learning more about the DS.

If you mean common channel -- shorter is more aggressive. This is the length of small intestine in which the food and the pancreatic juices will be in contact with each other.
For the biliopancreatic limb -- longer is more aggressive. This is the length of small intestine that will not see any food at all.
The alimentary limb is the length of the intestine that carries food, but no bile. Some stuff can be absorbed here, but not as well as it will be in the common channel.
Alimentary + bilio + common channel = entire small intestine
