I havent had the DS yet but i havent heard anyone talking about having constipation - especially this bad! Tell me please this is a very uncommon event-??

as a DSer you are required to take ca (citrate) due to malabsorption issues.  Ca is notorious for causing constipation.  space your ca throughout the day at 400-600 mg/per ingestion.  It is very imp. to ingest mag. with ca intake a 2:1 of ca citrate to mag will ususally keep constipation away, as mag is a gentle laxative.  do not take ca with any other medications (thyroid, antibiotics, b-blockers as ca interfers with therr absorption)  if the 2:1 ratio of ca citrate to mag do not provide you with the relief, take one dose of miralax per day.
