"Citrate," he says. "Not enough citrate."

Mine's a big supporter of lemonade...and he said that there is even more citrate in oj...who knew. But in this case, I'm harboring a honker that has a really big head start. (Actually, he said that I could spend the day swimming in a pool of lemon juice with my mouth wide open and I still wouldn't be able to get in enough citrate.)
Is there an OTC pill to fix this situation? I take it that vitamin C isn't the answer, so more fresh lemons, limes and oranges are our only home remedy? What about potassium citrate and how much? It comes in OTC in 99mg pills.
Sue, this is an eyeopening thread. Thanks.

Hey Sue,
Great post! Very good information here. Here's my two cents worth:
You might want to google "sour salt". It's a salty supplement that is pure citrate (citric acid). It's a great way to supplement citrate in your diet and combat stones without adding another pill to your regimen.
Hope all turns out well for you! We're thinking about you!

huge difference in molecular structure. You will find many references if you google citric acid vs ascorbic acid.
