Can't get warm! Does this pass?

Four years out and I'm always cold. Dressed in lots of layers and warm mittens and I'm ready for winter.  My hands are cold year round.

Thanks, Kaye. Just got to get into coping mode.  I'll buy a pair of those fingerless gloves -- Little Match Girl-style.  I hope I get the waif body to go with it!

I was very hot before surgery... freezing after. It has gotten progressively better over time. I'm not near as cold all the time as I used to be. But not hot anymore!

I have to wear a sweater or a fleece pullover to the grocery store. I almost froze to death this evening when I went to pick up some stew meat. Luckily I have kept all of my bigger pull overs, sweaters and jackets. I figure by late November in Oklahoma I'll be froze solid into a fudgesicle. lol
Oh well. My husband radiates heat when he sleeps so I figure I will be able to sneak some extra cuddlle time in

Places with AC (work included) are downright painful, aren't they!  I'm with you on the extra cuddling, though.

I was cold the first two years.  Just absolutely freezing.  I had absolutely no cold tolerance.  I would get so cold at work that I actually was in pain and so distracted I couldn't do my job very well.

The past year - I'm pretty much back to being comfortable most of the time.  Maybe even a little hot!  I still love my thermostat to stay like 70-71 degrees.  And this Texas winter, I don't plan on turning my heat on very often.

I wear elbow-length and 3/4 sleeves a lot, even in the summer and I'm usually fine.  I sweat a little bit, when it's really hot outside (like 90s-100s).  Nothing compared to pre-op sweating.

On the note of cashmere...mmm.  I started buying cashmere after I lost the weight too.  J crew has the most fabulous cashmere.

Cashmere...Mmmmmm. I've just about got a cashmere turtle neck in every color.  I'll have to checkout J Crew now.

That's hopeful, Kayla. I hope my cold tolerance gets higher eventually.  I never had a cashmere sweater before. I'm not sure they even make them for the SMO! This one is from a local thrift shop, and already I want more. I can see they will be addictive!

Lenore, it will get better once your weight loss phase stops and you get your iron and ferritin up. I'm not sure but I suspect I was cold until my iron stores got up and over a low-middle point.
