Can't get warm! Does this pass?

It's in the 50s here now - balmier by far than it will be 1, 2, 3, 4 months from now. But, already, I'm shivering constantly. I got myself a goose down vest and have started wearing it already. I started wearing fleece and wool socks around the house last month. I went to a thrift shop and bought 2 wool sweaters today.  Is this common for DSers? Vets, does it pass once your weight stabilizes?

I may bankrupt myself on cashmere and fuel oil this winter!

Nope, it doesn't get better. May I recommend cuddle duds, long sleeved sweaters,  layering, turtle or mock turtle neck shirts, flannel sheets and a warming mattress pad.

I've put my husband on notice that I'll be shopping for these items! I've been thinking about you a lot this weekend Maddie, trying to send good vibes to "princess."

Thanks Lenore! I'm feeling good. Just trying to get through this eating thing.

I really recommend a dual heated mattress pad. My husband purchased one for me when we were dating and I jokingly tell him that it saved our marriage since he likes to sleep with a fan on even when it's minus 25 outside!

no...thats why I moved from NY to Texas, I love the 100 degree weather days, and the warm winters. It still gets to the 50s here at night during the winter and sometimes during the day ..but that's a lot better then snow and below freezing days.

Amen to that!  I moved from IL to TX and couldn't be happier...and I'm still FAT!  LOL  Hell, here I can stand up and break a sweat but there's always the A/C when you can't stand it any longer.  I can't wait for skinnier days!

We're fortunate that in our part of Tx it's pretty dry most of the year. I love the fact that at night when the sun goes down in the summer it is cool. In NY, the summer nights always felt hot and sticky. I was hoping we'd get 90 degree weather until november, but alas we're only having 80 degree weather, still better then the 50s and 60s...burrrrrrr.

Wow, NY to Texas! That's a thorough change. I don't know that I could bear to leave New England.

I'm having the same problem. I haven't been cold before today but I now have on flannel pajamas, socks, wool slippers, my husbands velour bathrobe and a snuggie and my teeth are chattering.

Thank goodness for velour! I'm sitting here in my favorite velour hoodie with velour pants to match. Pretty much an old lady outfit, but I don't care!
