Fair Food. What's your fix?

I'm embarrassed to admit it, but the only fair food I've ever had is elephant ears.   I was a single mom for many years and we didn't have the money to go to many fairs, and saved our money for a big trip to Cedar Point and to Kings Island.    I love, love LOVE elephant ears though, and our local Kiwanis makes and sells them at our local arts events.   I have two a year and I adore every minute of eating them, LOL.

I know what ya mean Julie. When my kids were young DH and I would pack a lunch, sandwiches and fruit, buy a lemonade shake up split it and buy 2 elephant ears and split them. No games or rides for them. free popcorn and balloons at the booths, watching all the animals were enough for them and they all love it. I think we have made success in life when we can both have our own drinks, and elephant ears. Karen

I love the sweet corn dipped in butter! I hear corn isn't so good after DS, glad I had like 6 of them last year. I like the idea of the fried cheese. Actually never had an elephant ear! T

I ate 1/4 of an ear of corn last week with no issues...
of course that wasn't much corn but since it has always been my favorite food I loved every morsel.

and I enjoyed the left over 3/4 of the corn 1/4 at a time that night and the next day.  YMMV?

Living in Indiana we are home to corn. I think our slogan is, There is more than corn in Indiana. Not much bit it's home. Sweet corn and me have been friends sense early out. I hope it works out for you. Karen

Terri, I have not had that experience with corn. It's as good now as before. I just love it and have no problems with it. Usually eat 2 ears drenched in butter and salt. Hope corn works for you. Now early out I didn't even try it. I started eating it about 6 months out. Never looked back. Karen
