Larissa needs help.
Oh I am shedding tears of creamed cheese! Meanwhile yet another board member is heading back to ITU. Laughable.
I would like to share the following with you, my patients and good friends:
We have come to an unfortunate point where something so delicate and complex as weight loss surgery treatments and procedures, have been exploited only for the economical retributions. Retributions that are being invested in to dishonest, unloyal, and unethical strategies to defame the service, quality, professionalism and good name of various doctors.
Recently The Huacuz Bariatric Surgery Center received extortion threats proclaiming that they will defame and give out false accusations about our practice if we do not agree to their terms.
We will not give into this, we will not bend our heads nor stay arm crossed.
We invite all of our patients who have come across with our care and professionalism to share and send out your experience, advice and above all your prayers to overcome this unfortunate time.
We will go on adding people who seek the help they need by providing them with our most personal caring and high quality attentions. At the Huacuz Bariatric Surgery Center each and every single person that comes to our attention has direct contact with me Dr. Daniel Huacuz and with all our qualified personal.
If you wish to know more about our Bariatric Surgery Center, our approach on surgical bariatric procedures, feel free to contact us directly, avoid any miss information, we also invite you to talk with our patients, let them share their own personal experiences with you.
Sincerely
Dr. Daniel Huacuz

A few random thoughts...
I've been warning people about Huacuz for 3.5 years now. People don't listen. They want cheap and that is all they can see is skinny for cheap.
During the "Marty" issue one of his coordinators PMed me on lapbandtalk.com and whined that because of my posting pooooor Dr. Huacuz couldn't put food on his table. I asked who was putting food on Marty's table? She said everything that happened to Marty was his own fault, (swear to zog, i'm telling the truth) she said that he woke up from surgery and drank a soda after being told not to.
I reminded her that Marty never woke up from surgery, hello??
Adrianne had a severe leak, a massive infection, was in a drug induced coma for weeks. She went directly from Huacuz (AMA, btw) to a San Diego ER. Huacuz said her leak was her fault because she ate foods she wasn't supposed to on her post op diet. He claimed she went home to northern California, ate the wrong foods, and then traveled across the state to go to a San Diego ER for a leak. Adrianne never went home, she went straight from Huacuz to the San Diego ER.
Everything is always the patient's fault, always.
Another person he placed their band wrong and it was removed on an emergency basis upon arrival to the US. She posted her story. He gave her a $1500 refund if she agreed to remove the post.
It goes on and on.
As for Larissa... i have mixed feelings. If I were a US surgeon i'm not sure i'd want to take on the liability of a surgery performed by Huacuz. (Sorry, one of my caps keys is broken and i'm tired of stopping typing to fix it each time i use it) OTOH, I also think that there are enough of us here that have referred people to these surgeons that it is time we call in some favors. I have referred three people that I know they actually had surgery with Ungson. You guys have more. maybe it is time to call in some favors. Thoughts?
