Where to find Lavash bread?

I think I've seen a lot of people post about finding lavash bread (it's like a low carb wrap thing right?)
at walmart.

Where in walmart will I find it?  By the bakery?  Bread aisle?  I've kinda looked around and it didn't immediately pop out at me, so I'm not sure my Walmart carries it.

Just need directions!

Oh, and what's the best way to eat it? Favorite recipe?

Thanks :)

Trader Joe's has it.  Do you have one in your area?

ETA:  Make "wrap" type sandwiches or pizzas.

No.  We don't have Trader Joes in this part of the country.

I get it at Bj's but Ihave seen it at Wal-Mart in the deli section. You can order it at the netrition site. I use it to make crackers, sandwiches, pizza -- you name it and I will try to make it out of lavash bread. I even add it to meatloaf in place of bread. I make grilled cheese with it and I have made Cinnamon toast out of it.

Last week Igot a package of flat-out low carb wraps and they remind me of the lavash bread. So if you cannot find the lavash bread you might want to look at these. Only 6 net carbs per wrap. Imade a pizza using this for lunch today. It was pretty tasty. I used the italian herb flavor but there are a couple of different flavors. http://www.flatoutbread.com/products/flatout-wraps/flatout-l ight/light-italian-herb/

Ah, ok, I've tried flat out wraps.

Red, have you tried the mission carb balance tortillas?  How does lavash compare to those?

I found mine near the deli counter. Right with the other bread. I also get lazy and buy it online, too. That's at Walmart.

I think I prefer the Mission WW tortillas...

I  love the mission low carb tortillas.  It depends on what you are using them for.  Lavash is a little bit heartier.  Like I said the flat out low carb reminded me very much of the lavash in both appearance and texture.

My grocery store (Giant) has it right in front of the deli counter.

snobbishness on:

REAL lahvosh is NOT a freaking wrap. It's a damn cracker. The best f'in cracker in the whole wide world. It's as big as a pizza. In fact, you can make a pizza ON IT if you so want to. If you want to make a wrap out of it, I *suppose* you could moisten it enough to achieve that. If you wanted to ruin it. Lahvosh smothered with butter. That's the way to go.

The only place that I know of to get it is at Valley Lahvosh in Fresno, CA. Whenever I head up 99 I try and stop by. I love lahvosh. I refuse all other "substitutes."

I had planned on trying to bake my "lavash" and making crackers out of it.  It's nice to know that I'm not a nut! LOL
