CRUISER LIST OF INTERESTED PEEPS and HELP NEEDED!!!
Add me to the interested list...ad Ricki also. I know she would be interested but she working an outage right now and may not get puter time.
I also "plan". If I can help in any way let me know. I also have lots of out of country travel experience.
One thing that needs to be stressed, starting now, is that if we cruise the Carribean or the Mexican Rivera, passports will be needed. Last I checked they were about $100 and took 4-8 weeks.

Hi Becky
I sent you a PM message, too.....
So I'm still a DS newbie, but I am definitely a cruise vet! My husband worked for the corporate office of a cruise line for nearly 20 years, and was repsonsible for large group and charter business. I would think most cruise lines work in a similar way.
What we would need to do is pick a travel agency, and have them open a group for us. They would put a hold with the cruise line on an estimated number of cabins, and then anyone who wants to go would call the agency with their credit card. A good full service agency would do things like our dining / seating arrangements, track shared cabins, etc. They should also negotiate a good rate with the cruise line based on the number of cabins, and a few free perks like a private open bar ****tail party for us, and other things. Most cruise lines will also award a free cabin to the group if we meet the minimum number of cabins booked. Maybe we could use this for the surgeon some were talking about inviting?
I travel on business during the week so dont have a lot of extra time, but I'm glad to help in whatever way I can. My husband worked in the cruise industry for a long time, so I've been on many different ships and itineraries. Let me know what I can do to help!!
I think this is a fantastic idea, please count me in!!

We've been asked to open this to all WLS peeps which I just don't see as possible if I am going to coordinate it. If we leave it as a DS cruise everyone will be invited to bring as many family/friends/guests as they wish to bring. Somehow we will try to also arranage for a roommate match up. We will do these kinds of details on the Facebook page that will be opening up this week.
