Being a DSer and Being able to research
We can't make stickies. We can just hope that newbies use some common sense and you know, dig around and read before making multiple posts daily about things we answer *all the time*.
Seriously? You need to calm yourself before you alienate everybody on this board with experience to help you along your journey. You're not such a precious snowflake that you deserve to hog the front page every day.

hahahaha precious snow flakes....lol. I don't understand what her problem is, this post was not directed at her, but rather instructional to new preops and post ops.
I remember when the idea of having to take an IQ test was suggested by some surgeons (a few years ago) and we rejected the idea as unfair and prejudice, but honestly I'm starting to think that before someone has the DS they should be required to take some sort of personality/IQ test. How can you advocate for yourself if you cannot bare to read back 2 or 3 pages of info, and/or retain enough information to get it back to your PCP or surgeon?
It isn't rocket science, but it is important to have some reading comprehension skills.

Ummm... Were did Scott chastise you?? Did I miss something?
Our precious snowflake has yet to have the DS (and I am smelling some troll)...
There is one thing being in your position .. you researched, I think the BIGGEST issue (atleast in my case) is the constant posting where maybe 10 posts prior the same question was asked.
You are welcome to be needy, we have all been there. Please don't let the snowflake drive you away. I still don't think she is a real person.

It's just about etiquette. An established group of people doesn't take too kindly when a newcomer barges in and instead of, you know, listening, suddenly starts making every conversation about him/her. Newbies here sometimes do that and it's pretty damn annoying. It shows *zero* respect for everybody else and a sense of entitlement that I just can't stand.
I guess if you can't handle the different personalities on the internet you should seek support elsewhere.
