I agree.  The google search is MUCH better than the OH search.  In fact, I've learned so much just since I figured out the google search feature, thanks to whoever posted this the other day!  It's a much more effective way to search for specific information, instead of sifting through 500 articles that may or may not have what I'm looking for.  Thanks for reposting this!

WOW!!!  That is awesome! Thanks so much for sharing this techie tip!  I've never tried an Advanced Search on Google before.  I've got this bookmarked and relabled OH Google Search for future reference.  Thanks!

Not a problem Laura... I cannot take credit.  I believe OhioSteve showed us all first and then I saw the instructions like they were from Tom (Levitown Loser) ... Not sure if thats the people I should give credit to.... but thats who I saw it from. :)

Bravo to you all!!! With any WLS, nothing is ever handed to you. You've got to take it, nurture it, fend for it in order to live with it. Advocacy begins pre-op, not post-op!

If you have any g-ddamn sense and want WLS, think about the DS.www.dsfacts.com

Look at Divas post on this thread....she just gave you the ability to search OH for what to do about diarrhea as a new post op through google.

It is a topic that is talked about at least 3 times a week on this forum, and you'll find the same suggestions almost every single time. The same goes for hair loss.

This isn't to say that you won't have questions or concerns, and this post wasn't to say you shouldn't post, but rather as a habit you should try to do the research first, and if you can't (not speaking to you obviously) then you shouldn't get WLS because it requires intelligence and the ability to research, digest, and self advocate.

How does one read your blog if you are set to private?

I made my profile private a long time ago because of several "stalking" issues. I keep it now only for my friends.

PS there are a lot of great public profiles and you can read some good DS stories on www.dsfacts.com

I don't have a problem with a pre-op who needs to ask questions for clarification for something they don't quite understand.  However, if you want to post a topic that is, for example,  DS VS. RNY, and you see one that was made just 3 hrs ago, please for the love of god don't post it again.
