Wow.  First off, I am so glad you are OK!  Second, thanks for sharing this so that the rest of us know what to keep an eye out for and know how serious this can become.

Is there anything you can do to prevent or at least decrease the incidence of this?

So glad you are alright! My goodness, how frightening.

What are they saying about the future? Are you just going to have to fly to the ER if you have any pains again?

As some might recall, I had a weird painful episode recently that finally passed. My surgeon told me next time to get to the ER for a scan if its like more than an hour or gets increasingly painful.
I WILL. Like the you said, the gas meds, stomach meds, nothing helped.

Here's a strange bit of information. I have been notorious for saying that I have constipation since the DS, total opposite of what I had pre-surg. Ever since I had this episode, I have been going to the restroom several times a day! I feel like something must have been blocked/kinked or something and it let loose. I even started losing weight again after this.

I will not take any chances if it ever happen again, I might not be lucky.

I'm so glad you are okay and I so appreciate the warning to everyone!

It's not that I (and most of us) haven't heard it before but it does bear repeating - again and again and again.....as you said, people can sometimes get complacent....and might react like you have in the past  thinking it'll go away....so again, thank you for the smack upside the head to anyone that needs it!!

Take care and feel better soon!

That really stinks, but it is good to read you are feeling better now.  Sounds like you have had good care.
