Don't worry about the 5 pounds, it is water weight from the IV's.

Just worry about healing and getting in all your liquids, the weight will come off, don't worry!

Thank God you're ok, Tasha.  You gave all of us a big scare. 

Dont worry about the 5 pounds, it's all fluids.   I had a stay in the hospital two weeks ago and came home 5 lbs heavier as well.  It was all water weight from the IV fluids.  I lost 12 pounds within a week of coming home.

I am sooo glad to hear you are better !!!  Things were repaired, but did he remove the left over stuff ?

Yes I forgot to mention he did remove the tubing he left behind. I am on puree right now which sucks. I am so glad the pain is gone. I am so glad I got all of you wonderful DSers that were worried about my well being that means so much too me you guys are so AWESOME!

Glad the surgery is all taken care of and that you're on the mend.  I wouldn't worry about the weight - that will totally take care of itself!  I'm sure it's fluids and that's a good thing!  Just worry about sip sip sipping! 

i'm very glad that you're okay, that's the biggest thing.  but i'm shocked you let that surgeon anywhere near you.  i do hope that he did a good job setting things right.  good luck to you.

  Thanks for the update, Tasha! Like others have said, please don't worry about the weight right now. Just focus on liquids, protein and staying healthy!
