Intertrigo aka rash under breasts and belly treatment -- TMI -- not for squeamish

I had a stinky rash under my breasts several times when I was MO and also around my belly button.  I would use an atheletes foot or jock itch remedy spray or creme, then tuck a thick paper towel underneath between the skin so all moisture would be soaked up.  You need to keep it up for a week or so, even if you don't see the rash anymore.

I would ask your Dr. for some cheaper alternatives. I have done this before with my Dr. and they fully understand. Sometimes they may give more samples!

I can relate to that pain.  Glade to say it will go away after DS at least it has with me.

This is what I use to do.  Take a shower and slap on a thick layer of vasoline on it.  I had to put it under my boobs, under my belly and in the creases on my inner legs.  It would hurt so much. I put it on before going to bed.  I'd goop it on and ware old pj's. It may take a few days for it to get better (weekends are great for this.)  I would put one off my sons babyface cloths(thin ones) under each boob with vasoline so I could ware a bra. It's a bit gross but man does it work!

Keep the area clean and re-apply the vasoline when ever it start hurting.  It does make it feel better.

Hope you get some relief soon.

I grew yeast like a freaking brewery while pregnant all three times.

Antibacterial handwash in the folds followed by really REALLY rubbing in some neosporin (rub it in like lotion) and a good powdering of gold-bond anti-fungal. You're at least hitting the Bacterial/Fungal causes of it. If it's viral you're going to need something perscribed and only then probably just to get rid of the bloom as you wait out the viral infection. BUT being overweight, my best guess was that you're experiencing a bacterial or fungal form of the infection.

Mitchum roll on antipersperent  (in the deodorant aisle). Twice a day; morning and bedtime. wash and dry before using. Stings a little on the first time, but quickly gets it under control.
Advice from a nurse who was larger than I was.
It works.

Have you tried out TechniCare or Hibiclense to wash that area?  Both are antibacterial surgical scrub/ washes and should help at least keep the bacteria at bay..  hang in there & hope you're more comfy soon!

Oh yes, I feel that pain. Been there done that oh so much.

What helped me when I got to that stage was usually a week of Diabet-X applied two or three times a day, after washing and drying the area very carefully each time with something really gentle. I often used a blow dryer set on low and held fairly far away to make sure I got the area good and dry. Then I applied the Diabet-X in a thin layer, then covered with something to hold it in place--sometimes I had good results with a layer of plain old paper toweling.

Diabet-X is OTC but usually kept behind the pharmacy counter.

After that week or so of treatment, it was usually calmed down enough that I could keep things in check by keeping it clean, dry and coated with any kind of medicated drying powder. Eventually it would flare up again, but I could often go many weeks that way.

Sometimes I would follow the week of Diabet-X with a week or so of hydrocortisone cream and antibiotic cream, also two or three times a day after the same washing routine.

Once in a while I would have to take an oral medication, usually an antiobiotic and/or an antifungal, to calm it down. Once it took a round of steroids to get it back into bearable range of misery.

I have been getting fungal rashes in my abdominal panniculus fold for years..... sometimes so bad that it was bleeding.   What usually works for me is a once daily application of corn starch powder after my shower.   If I do happen to get an occasional fungal rash, I use an over-the-counter anti-fungal cream (miconazole) twice a day for a week.  That clears it up for me.  The key is keeping the area as dry as possible.

I used to get rashes under my boobs as well.  When it was flaring up my husband took an old Tshirt and cut two holes in it for my boobs to fit snugly in and this would help keep the area dry from the skin touching skin.  It did help.  Of course I also used the antifungal cream as well.  But let me tell you I really liked the Tshirt.
