Considering a second sleeve
hate to say it but i think you're overreacting a little bit.
you lost 90-95lbs *not* exercising..just from having surgery. can you imagine how much it would be if you did start exercise? I have a 9 year old knee injury and sometimes i walk, but like now, i can't, so i try to do other things. it works!
i stalled for 3-4 months at the same weight, and finally just lessened the carbs, and upped the exercise, and lost another ten pounds. So, your DS will always work for you. And i had the 3oz stomach, and an even longer channel than you! So i know you can do it....it jsut won't be EASY. and you'll have to use your tool, rather than sit back and wait for the weight to fall off...that ain't gonna happen no more (unfortunately).
Someone else already asked "how much do you eat?" and you kind of didn't answer with specifics. What is a day of food like for you? can you do a list (yes, your list this time *lol*)
how much do you eat at a time? would you say about a cup of food...two cups? (i'd find it very hard to believe your little 3oz tummy has stretched out to be 2 cups, but you never know!)

Surgery June 3rd, 2008
My Specs: Height 5' 5.75" | Highest weight 265+?lbs | Surgery weight 241.9 | Now 154 lbs | CC length 150cm, stomach 3oz
Added: Neck/Chin/Lower face lift Nov 23,2010- Skin only
A day for me is usually like this:
Two pieces of low carb toast
Then later two eggs and abut two or three sausages
Then a snack of tuna or salmon almost a 2/3 cup
Some cheese cubes and maybe black olives
Lunch is usually a couple of roll ups or a frozen chicken dinner...you know the kind you are supposed to add noodles to, but I don't add anything. Lately, I've been eating jerk or pulled pork with diet barbeque sauce.
Then maybe a snack...nuts or something
Dinner is steak, 1/2 a baked potato and a salad.
Sometimes I have strawberries and splenda with whipped topping.
Sometimes I have low carb pancakes with maple syrup made with Splenda...have to limit the syrup because it has carbs...can you believe that carbs?
See, I told you I eat a lot.
I know I need to exercise and maybe I will. I know I MUST exercise and I will. Does that sound better?

Here's a tip. DON'T EAT THE TOAST FIRST!
The one thing that is sure to make me a ravenous beast the whole rest of the day is if I START my day off with something carby - even low-carb toast. Eat the eggs and sausage first. Then go back and have the toast - if you feel hungry.
If I start the day with protein - lately it's been a protein shake and then usually eggs and bacon - then I spend the rest of the day on a "small stomach" day. I still eat as many times as normal, but the portions are much, much smaller. And with a whole lot less sneaky carbs.
Another tip: knock it off with the "diet" barbecue sauce and possibly the splenda. Anytime you're eating "diet" food you're ganking with your metabolism. Go with the full fat stuff. You are getting nasty chemicals with the diet sauces that is probably making you hungrier than you would be. Also, some people have a wierd reaction to Splenda - again, their bodies react poorly to it and it's worse for them than regular sugar.
And no, you don't eat a lot. Really and truly, it's not a lot and your mind is exaggerating it - probably from all these years of the diet mentality.

Ask me about pregnancy after the Duodenal Switch!
They're here! My surro-sons were born July 21, 2009. Welcome to the world, Benjamin and Daniel. We love you very much!
I guess I was gauging my intake based on what others eat on the Food and Fitness thread. It still seems like a lot to me, but I'm still eating it.
Are you sure about the Splenda? I know about the sugar alcohols but eating real sugar would send me into a tail spin...at least I think it would. Explain how the Splenda and other sugar alcohols make our bodies react poorly. I'm curious since for years I've used Sweet N' Low in my tea...I love it.
The diet barbeque isn't that good...so I might read the labels and decide on one that is the lowest in carbs...I'm just trying to keep all the carbs at bay.
Thanks for your input. I sincerely appreciate the help.
