EXCRUCIATING pain from hemorrhoids. Please help! TMI

I was the one with the roid rage post -- mine turned out to be an external thrombosed hemorrhoid. The symptom of an external thrombosed hemorrhoid is pain when you walk. Are you having that?

How long have you had it? The window for getting a thrombosed hemorrhoid treated (medically) is 72h. However it can rethrombose at any time. I had to have mine treated twice before it got better -- and then the swelling after treatment was no fun.

I called a doctor's office and BEGGED, absolutely begged and pleaded and practically cried over the phone, til I had an appointment for that day. It was so painful. I really feel your pain. It has been over a week now, and I'm not 100%, although it is much better and smaller.

I actually took my leftover percocets from my surgery -- it was that bad! The proctologist rx for vicodin.

I just read through that post and my heart went out to you.  It's pretty discouraging to think that a basic function such as a BM could cause such a feeling of hopelessness.

No, it doesn't hurt when I walk.  It feels like there is a blockage when I defecate...like the stool has to get around a bump before leaving my body.  This is what causes me such intense pain.  From my research, it definitely sounds like an external hemorrhoid, possibly clotted.  

I already know I will be begging and pleading with my doc on Monday.  I had been putting it off because, ya know, who wants to drop trow and have your butt inspected.  But I'm at the point where all modesty has flown out the window.  This has been going on for about 5 days.

I'm going to run out to Vitamin Shoppe and buy some Colloidal Silver as recommended in your post.  Can't hurt.

If you are in that much pain, I would go to acute care TODAY, and beg to be seen.  It may be a hemmorhoid, but it might also be a fissure, which is beyond excruciating.  If it feels like you are ****ting razor blades, suspect a fissure.

In the meantime, get someone you know who either has no embarrassment (or shame ) or who does, but loves you very very much, to go to an adult toy store ASAP and buy some stuff called AnalEaze.  It is 5% lidocaine, and you should use it just before, and right after a poop -- just a tiny bit, the size of a pea, because it is absorbed through the mucous membranes and can affect your heart, but it will numb the pain nicely, better than anything else,

 Oh crap!  It does feel like I am ****ting razor blades.  Dammit!  I'm so pissed at myself.  I did my best not to push b/c I had read your threads, but my poos were literally stuck in me and not going anywhere despite sitting on the pot for a long, long time.  So I pushed, and pushed.  Pushed straight through to a fissure it sounds like. Grrrrr.

Oh, noooooo.  AnalEaze?  It sounds like it works though and I'll do just about anything for relief.

I was getting ready to say, Colloidal Silver.  But you already know! It's worth a shot. My mother who has serious constipation and diarrhea off and on  used it and after her second dose in one day (I just followed the directions on the back of the Sovereign Silver box for severe need) I was doing five dropperfuls a day.  Anyway, she did her second dropperful and bam! She was having healthy movements. I know I do, when I take it. I would get the spray and then the drops, but really.. the drops seem more of what you need at this moment. Crossing fingers for you!!!!! Be well, Darling!

It sounds like you are doing what you need to diet-wise (h2o, magnesium, etc)... For pain and healing, I did prep-H suppositories and ointment after every BM. If you do this consistently, you should notice some improvement in a few days. I feel your pain... hemmorhoids suck! Good luck,

PS- if the stool softeners, etc aren't making your poop soft enough, I would try one correctol women's laxative (half the normal dose) before bed until the problem resolves itself. (that's what i did and it worked out well)

I had the same problem, I don't know if you saw my post from before. Mine was caused from the calcium I was taking. I switched over to Costco calcium and started taking iron the same week. I thought it was the iron that was causing the problem but it was the calcium. I went back to Nature's Science calcium and all has been well after that.

But when I was having the hemroids problem I was in so much pain. It was really scary cause I've never had it before and to see so much blood in the toilet and on the tissue freaked me out. I used all of the things that you tried and it didn't help. One thing that did get things moving that was suggested to me was the liquid Mag Citrate. It's right where the enema and stuff is. I also got an enema if all else failed. But the Mag Citrate def got things moving. I had hubby give me the prep-H anally.....he told me he didn't sign up for this LOL In about a week I was back to normal.

So lets hope your condition isn't real bad and it'll be taken care of soon!

 Thank you, Shani.  I've currently laid off the iron and am taking Citri-Cal petites.  Wonder if it's the citrical? I'll look into the mag-citrate too.
