Best Mexican Dr. for the DS and PRICE???

What Dr. in Mexico do you think is the best one to do the DS?  Is the DS more expensive that the VSG'S, if so by how much???

It's very important, esp when going to another country, to make sure you go to an experienced, reputable surgeon. Many people on this forum have had the DS with Dr. Ungson in Mexico, and he has an excellent reputation. There is at least one other surgeon in Mexico who offers the DS, but none with a good reputation.
    As far as his fees, you would need to contact him via email to see the current amount, but from what I hear he is very reasonable. Cost may be a bit less for the VSG, but IMO that isn't a good reason to choose one over the other - this is a decision you will live with for the rest of your life, and the results of the DS are the best of any wls in both percentage of excess weight loss and most important in maintaining that weight loss. If it costs a little more, it is well worth it.

IMO Dr. Ungson is definately the best WL surgeon in Mexico.   Open is $12,000 and I believe lap is $14,000, you'd have to double check on lap.   By far the best choice!

Don't forget Dr. Antelmo Sasso and Dr. Marchesini in Brazil.  Dr. Antelmo's fee + hospital is $11,500.  With travel and hotel, my lap DS cost me $14,000.

Dr. Ungson, hands down!  The sleeve may cost less, but that's what you'd expect for HALF the tool!  Get the WHOLE tool!  Get the DS.

Dr. Ungson is $16k for lap DS, but that does not include air-fare.  I heard some of the doc in Brazil are cheaper, with good reputations and their packages include the air-fare for around $14k total...so I am starting to research that option.
