Struggling to eat

I am gettiing my liquids in, slowly but surely.  I found an apple flavored WalMart brand crystal lite that tastes really good to me so I have been going with that.  Other things (even plain water) have just had a weird taste so I haven't been able to get enough fluid from that.  I am using the protein shakes that you and Vicki both gave me (thank you!).  I like the chocolate o.k. but they are all just 'o.k.'  Know what I mean?  I am taking Nexium every morning but I was seriously wondering if I should be taking it more than once a day.  I'm glad you said that so I will ask her when I see her next week.  It's time release so maybe it's wearing off?!?

I haven't vomited at all, ever so that is a very good thing.  The things I'm eating go down fine and I am being very careful.  I think I am getting AT LEAST the 30 grams a day of protein but probably not much more.  Everything is just blah to me.  Thanks for the encouragement!

ETA:  Oh, I also ordered some power crunch bars today too because I have heard some people say they really like them.  I am hoping that will help supplement the protein too!

You're blessed that you think they're okay and they're staying down.  Some people drink them and get horribly sick and throw up.  Protein drinks, as much as we'd like them to, are not going to taste like a McDonald's shake.  They are to be used to nourish us and get our protein into our bodies, when our bodies otherwise cannot get in the necessary protein.  If you will drink them, even if you don't LOVE them, you will find yourself getting stronger, feeling better, and becoming more normal again.  It's not about loving your shakes, it's about getting your protein in however you can get it in.  You owe it to yourself to get the protein in, in any way you can.

Since you "can" drink protein shakes, I would suggest trying to get one in during the early half of your day, eat every couple of hours after that (even if you can only get in a few bites) and have a protein shake for dinner or after dinner.  If you're doing the chocolate by Champion Nutrition that I gave you, that will get you 68 grams of protein and you can get the other 32 grams from other sources easily.
