Mary, how in the world did I miss Lynn's post?  Whatever.. I'm so sorry hon that I haven't sent you prayers and good wishes before now. but honestly did not know you were even in the hospital with problems.

I'm so thankful you're going to be OK.  What a horrible month you've been through.

And just because I'm an optomist,I'll add this:

January (the longest, coldest month in NJ) just flew by in 2009 for you.

love, Dawn

Good grief Mary!  I'm so glad you're okay!  I remember the shower thing feeling monumental after my open hernia repair and extended tummy tuck.  I kept thinking, "Geez, has it ALWAYS taken me this long?"  Hang in there sweetheart.  I'm so sorry you went through all of this.

Did you get jaundiced because of your gallbladder needing to come out?  Sorry, I haven't heard of this before and I'm just curious.

Big hugs girl,

Lori

Apparently, there were stones in the gallbladder and in the common bile duct which caused the jaundice.....the first CT scan didn't show any stones, so it perplexed the docs for a day or two, then they repeated it and found a ton!  Who knows what they really looked at the first time?     I don't think there's a medical test in existance that I didn't have.....   Oh well,   I'm HOME!!!!    Mary C

Oh, Mary! This sounds awful and frightening. I am so sorry you had to experience all of this.

I'm glad your family and friends were able to help you.

I've heard good things about wound vacs from folks on here. I hope it helps you heal quickly.

Please post when you can!

oh girl, what a time you've had - glad you are on the way back - hoping its a quick trip and you'll be back to 100% fast!
I owed it to myself to research the duodenal switch before consenting to any other weight loss surgery and so do you.  Check out DSFacts.com and DuodenalSwitch.com for more information.  Remember think twice, cut once, revisions are risky and revision surgeons are rare.
