DS emergency cards?
This is just what I've been looking for!! I thought about getting a medical alert bracelet or something...
Hey, I've asked at several restaurants (like Hometown Buffet and Ryan's etc.) if I still have to pay full price after surgery. They said they have a couple people who have had weight loss surgery and come in and eat (all you can eat) and the people have some little card they show the manager guy that shows/proves they had WLS. They only charge them the price of an 8 year old, about $4 or so. How cool is that??? I wonder what card he was talking about or if I could use something like this. Hmmmm.....

Don't even bother with a card for restaurant discounts. The restaurant is under no obligation to honor them, and if they're gonna do it with a card, then they're likely to do it if you just ask. With buffets, they rarely give much of a discount. I request a to-go plate to pay by the pound and take it to sit with my party. They're willing to do that, but I rarely pay more than $3, so the joke's on them.
