I had thought about mixing softened cream cheese with SF Vanilla Pudding and my Banana Scream powder for a mock banana pudding/cheesecake kind of thing.

Then - stews (the juicy meat) and stuff cooked in a crock pot. Refried beans were good too!
Listen to GoodKel about the buying stuff. Your tastes will change.

With the DS: there is no stoma, so no stoma strictures; there are no limitations (other than volume) against drinking before, during or after meals; 80% of ingested fat is malabsorbed; 98.9% of type II diabetics are CURED of this devastating disease, with data showing stable cure over 10 years out; there is the best average weight loss and most durable (average 76% excess weight loss going out 10 years) of all of the bariatric surgeries. That's why I had a DS!
Fall and Winter are the perfect time for stew.

Flavoring stuff for water was helpful too. Crystal light is good - I like the hydration "lightly lemon" flavor (has electrolytes in it), raspberry lemonade, peach tea. There's also some crystal light called sunrise I think -- flavor is tangerine strawberry. I'm not sure it comes in individual packs though, I've only seen it in tubes that make 2 liters at a time. It has vitamin C in it though, and has a really good flavor. Again, though, just get what you like. If the flavor is too strong, add more water.
I also liked applesauce cups. I had to eat them slowly, but I was usually always able to eat one of the little cups and it was very yummy. I got the no sugar added, and it was perfect. Not too sweet, and still easy on the tummy.
I also ate a bit of yogurt.
After the first 1-2 weeks, I had cottage cheese and scrambled eggs. My stomach was really picky though. You really just have to see what you crave. Oh, um, one tip -- you are not likely to be able to finish a whole egg, unless you want to be eating for an hour. So stick to cooking 1 at a time, and not 2. It looks like a small amount on your plate, but you'll be surprised how fast you fill up. Make sure not to overcook the eggs, you'll want them moist and to really mush them in your mouth before swallowing. I even liked adding a little ketchup to them.
I personally didn't really like popsicles, but I know others did.
Good tip about cooking just one egg. I am curious how much my tastes are going to change post-op.

Basically, its cottage cheese, SF jello powder, and cool whip. It's sweet, fruity, and kinda fluffy from the cool whip.
