You can also try getting them with the heavy whipping cream instead of the half and half (breve).   That will also cut the carbs even more for you.  Most of the heavy whipping creams are 0 carbs, but Ive seen one that was 1 carb per serving, so be careful.  Ask to see the carton. I did.  A serving size is 1 tbsp so it could add up quick if you have any carbs in it, especially if you are getting a venti.  There is a lot of fat too, 5 gms in each of those tbsps.  (Starbuck girls, please chime in if I have figured this out wrong!)  I couldnt really tell much difference at first and wouldnt be able to tell at all now.  I found I liked it better.  Fortunately, I've lost my taste for Starbucks these days, thank GOD.  My "fix" was a caramel macchiato though. I had an iced one months ago that was way too sweet and turned me off completely to all of it.  I wish I had known that would have been what did the trick many dollars ago! I had just replaced one expensive habit (smoking) with another ... lol  :) Teri

I also ask them to use heavy whipping cream.  That cuts the carbs WAAAAY down.  And it's still just as good.

First, Venti is bigger than Grande.  :) Second, Why do DSer's watch their carbs?

Sugar/carbs bad.  Protein/fat good. We absorb 100% of the simple carbs we eat.  Digestion starts in the MOUTH with an enzyme called Maltase.  Sucrose, fructose, lactose, most things that end in OSE are not good for us.  Next come all the grains.  Your body will turn everything it can into sugar because that's what's easiest for your body to use for energy.  The weightloss phase of the DS is very similar to Atkins or South Beach.  Granted, there are many successful people here who ate protein + whatever and made their goals.  But sugar is how you outeat the DS.

So does anyone know the Carb count in a Grande Mocha Frap made with sugar free Mocha and sugar free carmel?? I just discovered the sugar free syrups. I used to get a mocha latte with 3 pumps of carmel. OR  Iced Chai...  It never did slow down the loss... but it's good to know. I get them 2-3 times a week.
