In Canada, "Dooo-'Oh-Dee-Naul" (pronounced the same, but with an extra 'u'.) Dreamy, I can't believe you left off the extra canadian sylable- eh So in Canada it should be " Dooo-'Oh-Dee-Naul-eH"

My vote is firmly in the second camp. Du-OD-De-Nul is the way my doc says it and it sounds damn scientific to me so I'm cool with that. #1 Just reminds me of the guards in the Wizard of OZ.... instead of " DO-OO-DEE-OO OO-oo" you'd hear "Du-OO-DEE-nul OO-oo"

Do you say: 1) DU-o-DEE-nul or 2) du-ODD-en-ul ? Both are wrong! anyone east of the Mississippi, south of the Ohio, and south of the Mason-Dixon would use the proper 3rd pronouniation: 3) Dooo-oooh-deee-naaall, ya-aallll

according to both my surgeon and my PCP, BOTH pronunciations are correct... I flat out asked them because they both say do-oh-DEE-nul and I say do-WAH-den-ul potayto, potahto tomayto, tomahto

um... no I was spelling phonetically Mr Quayle spelled mater and tater with an "E" at the end of the singular

I have heard it pronounced both ways - one of my surgeons pronounced it the first, one pronounced it the second!
