An OH Petition for DIana Cox

Yah Just Never Know
on 11/20/06 2:41 pm - Somewhere, out there
Ditto, ditto, and ditto. Diana as a resource (not to mention a friend and support person) is FAR too valuable to be punted to the sidelines. Her value far exceeds any (supposed) detriment that one little misunderstanding had on this message board. Don't ya'll think that it's just a tad petty to *keep* punishing her by refusing her access (and, in turn, our access to her and what she has to offer)? While I don't hold out much hope for this plea to make much difference, consider what it would have been like had you been without information, without education, without guidance as you began your journey... which is exactly what Diana represents to a lot of us. We, as a community, have been woefully bereft of a great resource, needlessly. For many of us, she was a great source of information and advice (from both a medical and legal perspective) that, without, we would have been floundering in a sea of medical and legal jargon... and probably not have gotten the surgery of our choice, which is our right, both as patients and as human beings.  Please, allow Diana back, free-speaking, free-posting and paying it forward. Thank you, Brandi

I would love to see Diana back on OH.  She is a storehouse of knowledge regarding the DS and insurance issues -- OH should be using her to increase their value to it's members!  Diana is also a kind and caring person who supports others along this journey and, after all, isn't THAT what OH is about?

I heartily offer my name to this petition to allow Diana back on this forum.  She was very instrumental in me getting an ultimate approval from my insurance company after their initial denial.  She guided me to zero in on what the insurance company was denying me for and how to respond to that denial.  In addition to that, she is a very knowledgeable and kind person.  We have lost something good and our forum is now less than it was before she was banned. I had NO idea she was booted off!  I obviously missed something here.  If there's anything I can do to help bring Diana back, count me in. Val

I don't even know Diana but reading what everyone has said I want her back! I as a newbie could use her wisdom and would appreciate the chance to do so.  Barry

Why bother?  So many people read what she writes and feel stupid...I say, let her go and make those who are intimidated by her intelligence feel better about themselves.

That's what this country needs...more and more people who feel smug and satisfied about their untalented selves.

Yours in lowering the bar everywhere,

Sue

This thread is from 2006, someone resurrected it. No idea why.

I have made it clear that Diana has been invaluable to many in the OH membership for her brilliance and resourcefulness -- especially when it comes to fighting insurance.  I don't know if I woiuld have been fortunate enough to celebrate my 2nd Switch-i-versary if not for her assistance when the anti-DS-insurance-schmucks were keeping me from renewed health and a second chance at really living life.   Believe it or not, to this day I'm not entirely clear what went down but with the new year coming, goodwill towards all would be the order of the day and maybe broken fences can be mended for the greater good of the fellowship.

If I may add my vote here. I must say I don't under stand how it benefits anyone to keep such a knowledgeable person from giving a helping hand.   If it can be worked out I would truely enjoy seeing her post on this site again.   Thank you  Debbie

Thank you all for sharing your journeys.
