No it is a very tiny injection that you put in the soft area in the lower belly, You do not have any feeling there and the needle is 1/2 inch or less. It is painless and only one time a day. When every you want to take it . You do not have to worry about eating or anything. Just take it at the same time everyday. In the begining you will be a little tired and some upset tummy but it goes away and then it just feels like you have a beach ball in your stomach and you can not eat very much. Tell him to ask his doc about the new drug Victoza, I started it about 3 weeks ago and lost 9 lbs so far and great blood sugar control. Weight loss is a side effect but its great.  Tell him to stay under 60 carbs a day and that will help him weather he goes on victoza or not. Thanks Judy

I did look it up on drugs.com. I was only able to find information on the drug. I couldn't figure out how to order it. I did google it a while ago . There website said that they not be manufacturing  Riomet for six months from March 30th. I think that I got the last of the stock in my area. They are beginning to ship to Canada. If you  know how to order from drugs.com, I would definitely want to .
