Blood sugar hops from real low to REAL HIGH in minutes... WHY?
O.k. I've had type 2 Diabetes since the birth of my son in '03. I've always kept my blood sugars between 80 and 100. I take an oral diabetes medication called Metformin. In the last couple of days, my blood sugar has jumped from the normal numbers to the VERY high 100's. I just took it 30 minutes ago and it was 194. That is 2 hours after a meal. Usually 2 hours after a meal I'm at like 98 or 99. My blood sugars have been like this since Friday the 11th of November. I have not changes my diet of chicken/fish/salad/veggies. My Dr. is out of the office until Wed. So I'm wondering if anyone else has had this type of thing happen and what they come up with as a reason. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks =)
