Lydia, I have not been through WLS yet but I am sure you will be just fine. I noticed you didn't have who your Dr. is in your profile but I am sure you are in good hands. Type II diabetics do very well with surgery - just think no medicine for your diabetes! Good luck to you - Nancy K

Hi Lydia, How did your surgery go for you? I had mine on April 4 and doing just fantastico. I am off medications and off of insulin. Sugars are normal. Karen

Hi Karen, Hope all is well with you, I am doing ok not as good as I would like to but trying to do what I'm suppose to do. I couldn't exercise at first cause I hurt my knee, now I am doing better and started excercising alittle. I have lost 42 lbs. but should have done better than that. I am always hungry. I am doing 1-2 protein drinks a day and eating more fish. I can not drink the 64 ozs of water though but trying. I have had like 4 sodas since my three months surgery, I have found if I could be without I should stay without. My sugar levels are mixed right now but once I hit the gym on a regular basis it will go down. Let me know how you're doing and how much you've lost. OK Take care ! Lydia
