Blood sugar 334!!!

I wake up this morning have a cup of coffee and take my sugar 334 !!!! My surgery is supposed to be on the 28th will they still do it if my sugars are this high? Thanks Sandy

I'd talk with your endocronologist or PCP to adjust your time night routine with regards to food/pills or insulin. Its always best to have your blood sugar in control, but I doubt it would postpone your surgery. Best of luck, Wendy 275/175/140

I found it funny when i had my surgery... i had not eaten in three days because of surgery fasting and just feeling crapy after surgery and my blood sugars were still elavated in the hospital. Do not underestimate teh power of stress on our sugar levels. After surgery my blood preasure and sugars shot up for dyas till my body adjusted. Too much stress on our little bodies i suppose.
