Dr's Orders for Post-Op Insulin Decreases
I have been taking 120 units per day of Humulin R brand insulin. Just got my Post-Op instructions from my doctor. No insulin on the day of surgery.
Post-Op let the blood glucose rise to 200, then take 4 units; if 250 take 6 units, if 300 take 8 units.
That is the plan for while I'm on the Post-Op liquid diets.
