Trulicity
I don't have diabetes, but I just started taking Ozempic (very similar to Trulicity) two weeks ago for weight loss. I had a lap-band and VSG at the same time (insurance reasons) in Feb 2010. Highest weight: 382 Surgery weight: 361 Lowest post-surgery weight: 285 Post surgery range: 285-335 Today's weight: 293 Obviously I didn't do as well from the surgery as I had hoped and have regained and relost just as before surgery. My surgeon has disappeared during the pandemic, so my endocrinologist recommended Ozempic. It seems like a miracle drug. I've lost 10 pounds in two weeks. I'm not hungry. I have had some nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, especially after drinking protein shakes. I'm wondering if I should switch from a whey protein shake to something else. There's no way I can get my protein in with this drug, but if I can find a protein shake I think I could get in a little more than half, which maybe is ok. I haven't found anyone else taking this. I see your post was from May. Did you decide to take it? What has your experience been?
