Diabetic surgery info!!!!

I was an insulin dependent type 2 diabetic. I also had to take 2000 mg a day of metformin.
After my RNY, I went into remission. I have lost 186 pounds and no longer have to take any medications. My last A1c was 4.9.

Just saw your reply here as I am also a type 2 diabetic on 2000 mg of metformin and insulin dependent ... am planning on RNY in Sept. and am so hoping it will at least put my diabetes in control to the point I don't have to be on insulin. Your response is very encouraging to me, as is the fact you lost 186 lbs in less than two years. Amazing! Congrats. I hope you are still doing so well!
Thanks so much. I actually got a book that suppose to reverse Diabetes It ibasically says to become a,Vegaterian. Im trying it's hard .
However it's Mandatory I can feel the changes in my body. U are right it's a,nightmare. Have you had the weight loss surgery? I've decided to give it one more shot of trying on my on be for I make that decision. I ve lost 15 lbs. Still got about 50lbs to go... Any info will be greatly appreciative. This Diabetes is still kinda new to me , Im definitely a working progress. I tell one thing I want it gone by any means necessary. Thanks again for responding.

Hello it would be really good to hear some advice and talk to people who understand how it feels. I had recently been diagnosed with RA. I was on hydroxychlorquine but been recommended to be on Methotrexate. I had pain in my feet everyday with the mornings being the worse. but when I am wearing orthofeet's shoes, at that time I dont have pain in my feet.
