a1c went up since surgery

It only went up a little and that is because I was taken off insulin and Byetta ,im only on metiformin and my pcp says I probably will not need that when I lose more weight my a1c went up from 5.8  to 6.4 so all is good

my blood sugar averages 120 with it taken twice a day for a month my pcp is happy with that
