Newbie with type 2
Hello, I have type 2 for about 10 years now. I take metformin, lantus and just started on novolog yesterday. I was on novolog another time about 4 years ago, (my previous Dr prescribed), my current dr took me off of it and I did pretty well until the last year, numbers stay in the high 200's I feel awful most of the time and in a "super fog" I remember when I took novolog the last time I gained a bunch of weight.
I've been research lapband, however my BMI is 3 points shy of the 35. However I am sure within a few months those 3 points will be a thing of the past. I take about 11 meds in all. So over it. I wish I could get myself together and lose the weight on my own, that never seems to happen. I need something to force me to do it, sad but true.
Glad I found the diabetes group!

Hi everyone, I'm still lurking around here. I'm starting on the insulin pump this week.....I'm really upset about my entire situation...I'm so sick of diabetes, I'm sick of the medicine, the cost....I'm still a little short with my BMI, however I've been told with the pump you often gain quite a bit of weight.
The pump was expensive, I feel like I do is pay medical bills, just because I can't lose weight, is it bad wo hope for 15 more pounds gained to have this surgery? I suppose it is, I'm just so frustrated and depressed. Thanks for listening!
