I am a diabetic.  And from what I understand your blood sugar will fluctuate.  And those numbers are not bad.  I had my surgery on August 11, 2011.  My levels before surgery were 147 and now I am excited they range from 80 - 120.

Not only do numbers naturally fluctuate, but there is also a mergin of error in glucose meters. You can test your blood and get a reading of 107 and then immediately test it again within 60 seconds and see 116. Your numbers are not swinging wildly enough that I would be concerned.

Also, how long after you eat something are you checking? And what do you use to make your protein shakes? Not all protein shakes are low in carbs. I know a lot of diabetics who can't normally handle skim milk without a but of a spike in glucose levels, but I'm not sure if that's what you're using for your shakes.

Fat does not increase glucose levels.
