Low Blood Sugar while 3 weeks Post-Op Liquids after VSG

 I am type 2 diabetic. I haven't taken any glucophage since before surgery. (4/25/)11

I'm currently on a 3 week liquid diet and my sugar keeps dropping into the 60's and below

Has this happened to anyone else? Did it eventually normalize? How long did it take?

My Dr. told me to drink apple juice when it drops but geeze i'm not used to this. It feels like i've gone from one extreme to the next 

Which surgery did you have?  If you're on liquids you might need to drink milk instead of water to increase your carbohydrates.  I'm a type 2 and it took me eight months to come off insulin after a vsg.  Hope this helps
