6 month update (x-post)

(I wanted to cross post my update here since so many of you have ended up my "closest OH friends!").

I'm at home for the next two days, trying to finish up my final paper for a hellish class that I'm taking.  I decided that writing my 6 month update would be yet one more way to procrastinate!

I've been doing great.  Feeling better than I have in I don't know when.  My weight loss has definitely slowed.  I'm averaging about a 6 lb loss a month or so. If I could somehow manage 7.5 a month for the next 6 months, then I would hit my personal goal of 150.  Right now I'm in a size 16 (some 14's, some 18's depends on the brand) and 195 lbs. I am experiencing some of the dreaded hair loss, but I just cut my hair and decided to try not to think about it.  I'm going to the Y at least twice a week and walking on off days.  My husband and I have taken up hiking and I'm loving it!  I'm doing the swimming leg of a relay triathlon in July!  Lots going on and feeling absolutely great!  My Type I Diabetes is much better.  My last A1c was a 6.4.  I will take it! I am going to post a couple of pics.  I appreciate you taking the time to read my update!  I am so greatful that my life has changed so drastically for the better.  I know this site has been a constant companion and many of you have made my journey that much better.  I'm ready to get this next 6 months going!

Good A1c, good luck with your stage of the triathalon.  I'm stuck with 15 pounds to target, stalled for 2 months but just like you, I'll keep at it.  Isn't this new life great!
