Happy to report my new low A1c

For the first time ever, my A1c at my 3 mos labs was 6.1.  My Dr. was very happy.  Me too.  My A1c's have always been in the high 7's or 8's.  I am very happy about this.
I had posted before about my blood sugars dropping to really low, but now in the last week I am getting some high numbers.  Blood sugars are really sporatic.  I have been fighting them my whole life and hope that I can get these babies leveled out to norm with my WLS.

Woohoo girl!  That's wonderful.  I'm dealing with the same thing.  I'm worried my number won't be as good next time b/c I'm seeing some highs.  Nothing makes sense to me anymore.  I can have a piece of chocolate and my blood sugar drops...or eat a piece of chicken breast and my BS shoots up.  Anyway, I will just keep plugging along and see what happens at the next check up.  I'm feeling great, how bout you? :) Are you back on your pum*****  I'm taking 15 u of Lantus in the morning and 4-5 units of Humalog with meals and snacks.

Isn't being a diabetic fun,  The ups and downs?  Yes I am back on the pump and am ok with it.  I really dont want to have to take shots several times a day.
I really hope that I can keep my A1C at this low of a level.
I feel great as well.  Isnt it weird how our eating has changed and we just dont feel hungry.  What an awesome change of pace.  Today I went and bought a couple of new skirts and shock shock i could wear a size 14.  Woot woot.  I havent seen that size since high school.

Woo hoo!! Great job! You're doing awesome! It's been a pretty long time since I've visited the boards. A size 14!? That's amazing. How much have you lost now?

I saw my endo a few weeks ago and found out my first A1c since I've been on the pump is 5.9! I was so proud. lol That is down from a 7.1, and prior to that...around a 9! So glad I got this pump. It is so much easier, I should've done it years ago. The amount of insulin I have taken since the pump has also drastically went down. For example, I was taken about 40 units at breakfast before the pump and now it's more like 8-10! Crazy. I haven't even had surgery yet! lol

Anyway, I'm happy for you...also read you started zumba! There are zumba classes in town here I found out recently but I would NEVER go there until I lose some of this weight...can't wait though! TTYL!
