what tests to push for??
my son sees a psyche dr who occassionally orders labs. twice now he has ordered fast glucose and both times it has come back elevated. the first time we followed up with his primary dr. she retested , said it was fine and that it must have been a fluke. we are following up with his primary again on thursday. i know he is on a psyche med that can cause high glucose readings but for the safety of himself and others, he cannot be taken off of it. we have an extensive family history of diabetes. should i be pushing for any particular tests this time? would you be pushing for any particular type of treatment?
