Any pumpers?

I'm a type2 on an insulin pump and having lapband surgery on Feb 25th.   I'm hoping that I'll be in the 80% group that are able to go off insulin.  Atleast that's the stat I read when I first got on the wait list for surgery back in Aug 2006.     Any advice, tips, or tricks?

I'm a type 1 and a pumper - Loved the fact that i could lower my basal rates for during and after surgery. With going the laband route - might take a bit longer before your off the insulin (if you go off of it)

To avoid post op low sugars, I had increased my bg targets to be set a bit higher. Though talk to your dr before hand and get a set up so you can know where to set your settings. I had basal patterns set in my pump to go from 40% to 60% - could of ran temp basal rates all the time, but I wanted the patterns already programed in and ready to go post op. All these things worked out great for me.

Good Luck
