Are you restricting your carb intake? Even things like whole grains, fruits, and starchy veggies can be problematic for many diabetics.

My dad has had Type 2 diabetes for 15 years and is on max doses of oral medications. The doctor told him his next step is going to be insulin. I did some research (I also used to be a pharmaceutical rep) and came across some studies that talked about the most researched herb in the world and how it was helping people lower glucose levels. They have put this herb in coffee and tea. Since my dad was a coffee drinker, I got some for him to see if it would help. The information on the coffee says it is not meant to treat, cure, or diagnose but I can tell you what it did for my dad. His fasting glucose averaged 150-175 and his 2 hour post-prandial (after eating) gluscose ranged from 250-300 (depending on what he ate). After drinking this coffee for a month, his fasting now avereages 85-100 (usually closer to the 85 range) and his 2 hour post prandial ranges from 110-125. Again, this was after a month. This might be something worth looking into. Here is the website where you can get more info.

Since diabetes is a progressive disease, it will usually get worse over time, especially if you had diabetes for quite a while prior to surgery. Bypass should however improve the diabetes and I know that is one of the reasons you probably had surgery. Have you checked back in with your surgeon? That would be the first step. Let them review your eating and do an entire panel of bloodwork to see if there is something else going on that is causing the rise in glucose. Don't stay home and try to figure out what is going on... get it checked out so you know what to do.

Be blessed!

I am 9 years post op, I lost 120 lbs but after 1 1/2 years my blood sugars began to rise and I am on oral meds for diabetes.  I'm not diet compliant.  Have only regained about 15 lbs but could lose another 50-60 lbs to be considered at a realistic goal.  I use to need insulin before WLS.  I am afraid I will end up on it, oral meds aren't doing it for me now.  I am trying to improve my diet and do some exercise.  It's not easy, WLS helped but unfortunately I was not able to keep up the things I should have done.  I can eat pretty much anything and in large amounts.  No I will not consider a revision, because this is about me and my bad habits.
