any kidney transplant patients have wls surgery yet? if so what type ?

      ANY TRANSPLANT PATIENT HAVE WLS YET? IF SO, DID IT REVERSE YOUR DIABETES FROM THE STEROIDS? AND HOWS THING GOING????

 Hmmmm.  At our informational meeting they told us that if you have ever experienced a transplant or had an organ failure in the past (pancreas excluded) that you likely wouldn't be allowed to have the surgery.  
I could have heard that wrong.  Have you been approved?
 Type 1 diabetic since 2000, Pumper since 2001, CGMS since 2010
Hoping have surgery in the fall of 2010

      I HAVE ATTENDED THE 24 WEEKS CLASSES AFTER BEING  PRE APPROVED . IM ALMOST 2 I/2  YEARS POST SURGERY TRANSPLANT, AND I WILL BE MEETING WITH THE SURGEON IN THE NEXT FEW MONTHS. I WAS TOLD ITS A CASE BY CASE BASIS. ALSO DEPENDING ON THE PATIENTS  HEALTH HISTORY......WHAT ELSE DO YOU KNOW?
