Today I had my first appt with my endo since surgery. It was very exciting! Before surgery I was on 1000mg Metformin, a sliding scale of humalog with meals, and 32 u of Lantus at bedtime. High BP, high Trigs, high Cholesterol. Lots of highs and lows and feeling bad all the time. Within a week of surgery I was off everything. My bloodwork today showed my A1C is 6.3! Highest of the normal range, but still normal. And, I'm only 5 weeks out so I'm sure that the next one will be better. My cholesterol was 120, Trigs 98.

I'm so excited over these numbers. THIS is why I had my surgery. The weight loss is a definite plus, don't get me wrong.  I couldn't be happier.
