Pre Diabetes

 I have my first appointment with the surgeon. I have been seeing my PC and had to have labs drawn for my yearly and now (Pre Diabetes)

This along with my other health issues is going to get the best of me before I even have the surgery.

I am very excited about seeing the surgeon and getting on with my life but this other issue is really scaring me because I have severe diabetes on both sides of my family.

I know I should not get down over this and once I have the surgery things will get better, I just feel like every step forward someone pulls the rug.

Thank you for letting me vent.. I am new here and this seems to be the only place where people understand.

I had diabetes, not pre and my surgery made it go away.  I haven't had one med since my surgery and my blood sugar is in the exact optimal place.  I am soooooooooooo excited.   Don't be scared!  Just go ahead with each day and realize that the surgery could take care of everything.  :)
