Anyone use Byetta?

I lost about 20 lbs on it very quickly, and another 20 over the next 8 months.  It was good for that little bit of weight loss, but did nothing for my blood sugars.

thanks for the info, i mean weight loss is always an added plus, but i hope it helps me with my blood sugar

i used it for about 1 year and a half, controlled my blood sugars and hunger, i also lost some weight, i was prediabetic and took this instead of metformin, i am currently off all diabetic medication since the surgery, hope this helps..

thanks everyone, i have been using it for a few weeks now, I'm happy to report it helps control hunger quite a bit but more then that, it has really help me gain control of my blood sugars, i am reading at 180-190 which may seem high but, when i was in the 300 to upper 200 this is a great improvement for me. I have no marks or itching from giving myself the shots (thank God) and all is going well so far.

I also was having lots of problems with yeast for months, i was told by my gyne that the mass production of this yeast was due to my blood sugars being so out of wack and once they were in control it would be better, keep in mind this was lasting for months, it even caused a tear, down there, the tear took over a month to heal, and the yeast was still there, but the last 3 weeks, no yeast! 

I guess i was really ignorant to everything diabetes could do to the body and i was in denial for a bit, but I'm trying to be more responsible about it.

I used this about 6 months before my Surgery and it really helped bring my Glucose levels back to normal.  I was taking 1000 mg of Metformin and 10+ mg (dont remember) of glipizide before that and and it wasn't helping.  Byetta help me get the medical clearance for my surgery.  The shots to stomach arent so bad. 

 I used it for about 9 months - it worked great for me for both my weight and my blood sugars.  Unfortunately, it turns out I was smuggling it in to Canada.  I declared it every time I crossed the border but the last time, the guy was really mad.  He let me go so I decided to check into it.  Nope, not allowed in Canada without going through bureaucracy.
